What is a Safety Representative’s right to halt work?
If a specific task involves an immediate and serious danger to life or health, the Safety Representative has the legal right to halt the work. If the Safety Representative and the employer cannot agree on how to rectify the risk, the work must remain suspended until a ruling is issued by the Swedish Work Environment Authority.
